The Fall
part 2
I just want to start by saying I am not a theologian nor am I claiming this story to be what ‘actually happened.’
This story is just heavily based off of true events and mixed with speculation and some addons so that it fits into my multiverse.
another disclaimer, this is part of my fictional universe. NOT theology. though I used a lot of said theology.
now that that’s out of the way…
lets begin.
“Wait… are you telling me—” Seraphael began.
“No! I’m not being elevated to the Third Person of the Trinity,” Lucifer cut in, his voice sharp.
Seeing the anger in both of his friends, he continued, “In fact, He’s elevating this weak, worthless, little dirt monster named Adam to the Trinity.”
“Lucifer, now is not the time to joke,” Eliorael said through gritted teeth.
“What I say is not jest,” Lucifer insisted. “THE LORD plans on elevating man to the Trinity through His divine plan.”
Eliorael and Seraphael exchanged incredulous glances before looking back at Lucifer.
“Why would He think of such an idea before consulting the Divine Council? Didn't He put it together to help Him make decisions?” Seraphael demanded, enraged by the situation.
Lucifer did not answer. He began pacing, tuning out his friends as his thoughts swirled.
Then he suddenly stopped, a thought striking him that would change his eternity forever. These two can’t be the only ones who agree with this. There have to be others.
He quickly turned toward his friends. “Brothers! We are not the only Elohim who think this way. There are, without a doubt, more. We must find them.”
“Absolutely,” Seraphael agreed.
“Why didn’t I think of this?” Eliorael muttered, his eyes wide with realization.
Over the next few months, Lucifer, Seraphael, and Eliorael stayed in city courts, arguing with the Elohim and presenting proof of the predicament. Some cities entirely dismissed Lucifer because they trusted THE LORD’s process. Other cities were entirely won over, consumed with rage.
After Lucifer, Seraphael, and Eliorael had reached every Elohim in all of Heaven, one-third of all Elohim had devoted themselves to the cause. Or in better words, to Lucifer.
While Lucifer was out giving a speech, Seraphael went to consult THE SON.
“Lord!” Seraphael shouted, trying to get His attention.
“Warrior. How can I help you?” THE SON said, lovingly and patiently.
Seraphael quickly stated, “I have gone around Heaven arguing and debating. At least one-third of all Heaven thinks that You should not do this. You should not make humans the Third Part of the Trinity. And I think we should petition to vote.”
THE SON looked down in disappointment before answering, “Why don’t you trust THE LORD your God? When all I have ever done for you is give you power, riches, splendor, and loving care. When has THE LORD not had your best interests at heart?”
Seraphael replied, “You have to understand—this seems a bit foolish. Lucifer is a perfect candidate, literally perfect. He already represents Elohim well. Don’t you think that’s reason enough to vote at least?”
THE SON answered, “It is not by anyone’s works that I plan to glorify them, but by what THE LORD can do through them. That is how they will gain glory beyond measure.”
With that, THE SON departed, returning to the center of Heaven.
Enraged by His words, Seraphael left and returned to his castle, quickly sending word throughout Heaven to the one-third who had devoted themselves to Lucifer.
The letter he sent read:
“THE LORD our God is trying to destroy us. He’s trying to replace us with flesh bags, with these worthless dirt monsters. I believe it is time for us to take Heaven by force. I will be forsaking my name. For as long as I have existed, all creation has known me as Seraphael. But from now on, they will know me as Azzimandious, Dominus Dominiurum.”
Once the letter reached Lucifer and the other Elohim, he could not believe the audacity of his friend Azzimandious. But the moment he realized the opportunity, he seized it.
Shouting in a voice loud enough for the devoted one-third to hear, Lucifer declared,
“You heard it first! GOD is betraying us! You can either be annihilated kneeling or annihilated fighting. How shall we go down—in glory?”
Once Azzimandious sent out the letter, there was a knock at his front door. Before he could answer, Uriel let himself in.
Azzimandious smiled as he watched his once-old brother approach.
Uriel spoke, “What is this nonsense? THE LORD has been faithful to all He’s created.”
“Sounds like you’ve been brainwashed,” Azzimandious quickly replied.
“Slays the one denying all evidence! To reach your conclusion, you have to ignore billions of years of history. For the love of all things good, you have to ignore yourself. Aren’t you dressed in splendor? Don’t you have armies? Where did you get your strength—unparalleled by any other Elohim in all of Heaven?”
“ENOUGH!” Azzimandious shouted, flying toward Uriel faster than the speed of light and smashing into him. He dragged Uriel throughout Heaven, smashing him through cities and into debris.
Uriel balled up his fists and struck Azzimandious with such force that he smashed ten thousand miles down to the bottom of Heaven. Before Azzimandious could recover, Uriel was on top of him again, punching with enough force to crack open the floor of Heaven.
But Azzimandious seized Uriel by the throat, slammed him into the ground, and began ruthlessly pounding him, fist over fist. Uriel flew out from under him, gaining some distance, and charged back, ripping through the skies and smashing into him. Blow after blow, swing after swing, each impact sent shockwaves throughout Heaven. Every city they passed at top speed collapsed in on itself.
Finally, Azzimandious struck Uriel one last time, sending him crashing into the center city of Heaven. All the Elohim gathered around the unconscious body of Uriel. In pure hatred, Azzimandious stole the Dragon’s Tail—a sword forged thousands of years ago by wise Elohim using materials specifically created by GOD for this weapon, an ancient artifact of angelic history. He wielded it for the first time in its invention, flying down faster than the eye could see and stabbing Uriel in the heart.
All of Heaven watched in horror as an Elohim was uncreated before their eyes—completely annihilated. Erased.
And that’s when the fighting began. Elohim threw elements at each other—lightning, fire, rock—using all forms of magic, speed, and strength. But Azzimandious, wielding the Dragon’s Tail, struck indiscriminately at all who challenged him.
Eventually, Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael barely overpowered Azzimandious and wrested the Dragon’s Tail from him, casting it away so it could no longer be used.
The war raged for three days until Heaven’s Sanctuary opened, and a voice like thunder boomed across all of Heaven:
“Stop.”
All Elohim instantly ceased and kneeled in the direction of the Trinity.
The thunderous voice spoke again, “This battle has gone on long enough! You, one-third, have refused to put your trust in Me. When have I led you astray? When have I dealt with you in anything but love, grace, and justice? What have I done other than give you incomprehensible power, creativity, and wealth? Not only did I give you the very bodies you used to destroy My creation, but I gave you the spirit that powers those bodies—and the minds you all hold.”
There was an imperfect silence throughout Heaven as the Elohim awaited THE LORD’s next words.
“You all had free will, as does everything with a conscience in My creation. Those who chose to trust Me and remain steadfast will remain in Heaven and be rewarded. But those who chose to reject Me will not suffer My presence. Your punishment will be the world you have prepared for yourselves.”
Then, suddenly, Lucifer, Seraphael, and Eliorael were made a spectacle before all other Elohim.
THE LORD continued, “You, Eliorael, have forsaken Me and made a mockery of My image. From now on, you will own the name you gave yourself—the name Simulacrum Dei. All who speak of you will acknowledge how you mocked My image.”
“And you, Seraphael, will likewise own your name as a conqueror and a monster. You will forever be known as the name you gave yourself: Azzimandious, before you forsook Me.”
Then THE LORD turned His full attention to Lucifer:
“And you, Lucifer! I allowed you to wrestle with doubt. I allowed you to wrestle with pride. I allowed you a moment to consider whether you should trust THE LORD. Yet even after all I have given you, after all I have shown you, you reject Me. All of creation was meant to look at you and admire your beauty. But from now on, they will look to the sky in horror because of the decision you made today. You will forever be known as Satan, the Accuser!”
THE FATHER then cast the three back into their ranks and declared to all, “You have forsaken Me after witnessing Me create everything and give you all that you have! Depart from Me—I never knew you!”
At the moment the words resounded through Heaven, every Elohim who sided with Lucifer was cast out by THE LORD. They fell from Heaven like lightning and began to wander the deserts below. They could not touch anything—they were denied permission. They were caught in the in-between: not as physical as Earth, not as spiritual as Heaven. Panic spread among them.
Azzimandious and Simulacrum Dei met up with Satan.
“What are we going to do?” Simulacrum Dei asked, hyperventilating.
Satan did not respond. He flew as fast as he could, repeating a single mantra to himself:
“If I can’t have Heaven, then neither can GOD’s favorites.”
Satan flew into the Garden of Eden in search of the woman he knew as Eve. When he found her, he deceived her into breaking GOD’s one law, severing the close relationship GOD intended with His creation.
Two thousand and thirty-three years later, a man named Jesus of Nazareth carried a heavy cross up a hill.
Azzimandious, Simulacrum Dei, and Satan had worked tirelessly to orchestrate His torture and death, and now it was happening. They could barely believe the overwhelming satisfaction they felt.
Azzimandious walked over to Jesus, invisible to all but Him, and kicked Him in the side as hard as he could, yelling,
“This is THE SON OF GOD! He’s the one who cast us out? This is the man by whom all these wretched humans place their puny faith, who will be saved from us and from SIN?”
With a loud laugh, he continued, “But He can’t even save Himself from me. How will He save the little children?”
He then rejoined his friends. When Jesus died, the Fallen celebrated for three days. But when the tomb opened, all was thrown into disarray.
Jesus then appeared before Satan. Satan looked utterly pathetic. The light radiating from Jesus’ resurrected body gave Satan a headache. At first, they stood in silence. Satan relished the familiar warmth of what he had lost when he fell from Heaven.
Then, as Jesus was about to leave, Satan spoke,
“It was never about elevating Adam,” Satan said. Jesus stopped and turned to face him.
Satan continued, “It was about You coming into man’s form—and then rejoining the Trinity.”
Jesus, fully facing Satan, replied, “If only you had trusted Me in the beginning, as all your brothers currently in Heaven did, then you would have joined Me in My glory.”
